From what to bring to what to expect — and how insurance works — we've put together the answers so you can focus on healing, not paperwork.
A calm, thorough evaluation with our physician-led team. Plan for about 90 minutes.
Arrive 15 minutes early to complete or verify intake paperwork. Our team confirms your insurance and reviews any records or imaging you've brought.
A full history, examination, and wound assessment with your physician — typically 30 to 45 minutes. This is your time to ask questions.
If clinically indicated, tissue oxygenation and bacterial fluorescence imaging are performed the same visit — no separate appointment needed.
Before you leave, you'll have a written treatment plan with clear next steps, appointment schedule, and any needed authorizations underway.
A government-issued photo ID and all insurance cards (primary, secondary, Medicare). If your insurance requires a referral, please bring it or have your referring physician fax it ahead of your visit.
Any recent wound care notes, hospital discharge summaries, vascular studies, MRI/CT reports, or wound photos your prior team can share.
A complete list of current medications and dosages, including over-the-counter medications, vitamins, and supplements.
You're welcome to bring a family member or friend to help take notes and ask questions. We encourage it, especially for the first visit.
Loose clothing that allows easy examination of the affected area. For hyperbaric evaluation, avoid lotions and perfumes.
Your first visit includes evaluation, imaging (when indicated), and treatment planning. Plan accordingly so you're not rushed.
Our advanced wound care services, imaging technologies, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy are covered by Medicare and commercial insurance plans for FDA-approved indications. Our team verifies your benefits and secures any needed authorizations before your first treatment — so there are no surprises.
Some insurance plans require a referral from a primary care physician; many do not. Call us at (321) 400-8736 and our team will verify your specific requirements — often within one business day.
New patients are typically seen within one week. Urgent cases — including patients at risk of amputation or hospital discharges — are prioritized and often accommodated the same or next day.
You are welcome to bring a family member or friend, and many patients arrange transportation through their insurance or a local transport service. Ask our team — we can point you to resources.
