Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Healing that happens under pressure.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) delivers 100% oxygen at pressures up to three times atmospheric, saturating compromised tissues and unlocking the body's ability to heal wounds that traditional treatment cannot.

The Science

Under pressure, oxygen becomes medicine.

At normal atmospheric pressure, the body relies on hemoglobin to transport oxygen through the blood. When tissue is damaged, inflamed, or compressed, that oxygen simply can't reach the cells that need it — and healing stalls.

Inside our hyperbaric chamber, patients breathe 100% oxygen at up to three times atmospheric pressure. Oxygen dissolves directly into the plasma, driving deep into compromised tissues, bone, and biofilm-choked wound beds — where it triggers the biology of repair.

Angiogenesis
Stimulates the growth of new blood vessels into damaged tissue.
Immune Activation
Enhances white blood cell function to fight infection at the tissue level.
Anti-inflammatory
Reduces edema and tissue inflammation in chronic wounds.

The Chamber

The region's only rectangular, modular multiplace 6-person 3 ATA chamber.

Most hyperbaric centers operate small, single-patient monoplace tubes. Our chamber is different: a spacious, rectangular multiplace chamber where up to six patients receive therapy together in a comfortable, seated environment — monitored the entire session by trained clinicians inside the chamber.

What to Expect

Your hyperbaric session, step by step.

Every treatment is designed to feel calm, safe, and comfortable — overseen by a physician-led team from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.

1

Consultation

Your first visit is a full evaluation with our medical director — reviewing your wound, medical history, imaging, and treatment goals to confirm that hyperbaric therapy is right for you.

2

Preparation

You'll change into 100% cotton scrubs (no lotions, perfumes, or electronics). Our team explains every step, answers questions, and walks you into the chamber alongside other patients.

3

Treatment

A typical session lasts about two hours. You'll sit comfortably, breathe 100% oxygen through a hood or mask, and may read, listen to music, or nap. A clinician is inside the chamber the entire time.

4

Recovery

After gentle depressurization, you return to daily life — no downtime required. Most patients complete 20–40 sessions depending on their diagnosis and healing response.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hyperbaric therapy, answered.

Yes. Hyperbaric therapy has been used safely for more than 60 years. Our chamber is FDA 510(k) cleared, ASME-certified, and PVHO-compliant — the gold standard for pressure-vessel safety. A trained clinician is inside the chamber with patients for every treatment, and every session is directly supervised by our medical director.

No. The most common sensation is mild ear pressure during compression and decompression — similar to what you feel on an airplane. Our team teaches simple techniques (swallowing, yawning) to equalize your ears, and pressure changes are slow and gentle.

A typical session lasts about two hours, including a slow pressurization, roughly 90 minutes at treatment pressure, and gradual depressurization. Most patients complete 20–40 sessions total, one per day, five days per week.

For FDA-approved indications, hyperbaric therapy is covered by Medicare and most commercial insurance plans. Our team verifies your benefits and secures any needed authorizations before your first treatment.

Yes — that's the advantage of a multiplace chamber. Up to six patients receive treatment together in a comfortable, seated environment. Patients often find the shared experience less isolating than single-patient tubes, and a clinician is inside the chamber with you the entire session.

Come in comfortable clothing you don't mind changing out of — we provide 100% cotton scrubs for the treatment. Avoid lotions, perfumes, hair products, and jewelry. Reading material is welcome; electronics are not permitted inside the chamber.
